Images of fragmented memory,

Illogical movements of the restless eyeballs,

The heart that skips a beat,

Every now and then;

Yet keeps a steady vigilance,

On every creaking footfall,

Waiting;

Waiting for the bus,

That never arrived,

The knock that never sounded;
Fragmented Memory- Collection of Poems

Waiting for the bus,

That never arrived,

The knock that never sounded;

The one longing word,

That would have made all the difference.

The whispers that could have become a scream,

A scream of protest,

Anger;

Outrage;

That could have changed everything;

Yet nothing, nothing.

Only splinters of fragmented moments;

The desolate howl of the,

Night train;

Missed panting;

Fading away in the distance;

Empty eyes;

Tearless, smarting,

Always,

Always,

Waiting;
